I remember as a little girl when I was sick my mum would mix turmeric in some milk and add some honey to make my chest feel better.
A lot of Asian and African households use herbal home remedies to fight colds and other sicknesses. This is one of them.
It’s become a recent ‘trend’ to make turmeric lattes and as pretty and popular as they are , its also a very old old traditional medicine. It’s easy to make at home and is great for your immune system!

Ingredients
1tsp turmeric
2 tsp raw honey
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ginger powder
Rose petals
1 cup of milk (I used plant based milk)
Why plant based?
Dairy milk causes a mucus build up in your system regularly and even more so when you have a cold. It’s best to avoid it when your immune system isn’t at its best.
Directions
Bring the milk to boil until you can see some froth. Add all your ingredients, serve, decorate with the rose petals and enjoy.
