Hey there,
Oatmeal. It's really not as boring and horrible as you may think. Or like me, you grew up to believe. Oatmeal is your go to when you're trying to loosing weight or when you're building muscle or when you're just trying to stay fit. It's the easiest meal for a busy bee's morning and for a lazy weekend breakfast. All in all, it's good for you and it keeps you super full!
First of all, i'll give you a few oatmeal tips, then put down 5 great recipes so you don't get bored of the routine.
TIPS:
1. EAT ROLLED OATS!
The difference between Rolled oats and instant oats are that rolled oats are minimally processed. They also taste better and cook easier. And most importantly they are rich in fibre and PROTEIN.
2. 1:1 Milk and water
If you want a sweeter, richer feel and taste to your oatmeal, don’t use water exclusively. Add some milk, whole, skimmed, semi-fat, or plant based will do just fine to add that extra kick.
3. Cooking tip.
Always boil your water and milk with a tsp of chia seeds and honey.
Why? In order to get the full nutritional benefits of chia seeds, they need to be soaked.
Ps. Always cook your oatmeal on low heat once the milk and water have boiled.
